Page position available
starting in August 2015
The Library currently has one position opening up in August (start date 8/19).

Library Page: 5 hours per week, year-round.  2.5 hours on Wednesdays and 2.5 hours on Saturdays. Time of work must occur during Library open hours.  The above days are NOT negotiable.

The main job of the Library Page is to put materials away on the library shelves, keep the shelves neat and in order and shift materials accurately as shelves fill up.  We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and enjoys physical movement. Ability to accurately alphabetize and put items in numerical order is required. Professional demeanor, an efficient work ethic, and ability to interact in a positive manner with the public is desired.  High school students 14 years old and above are encouraged to apply.  Physical requirement include bending, lifting 25 lbs, reaching overhead, pushing, and standing.  Applications accepted through 7/17/15.  Start date is 8/19/2015.

Library Board of Trustees Monthly Meeting
Next meeting on 7/20/2015
The Baker Free Library Board of Trustees meets the second Wednesday every month except July or when scheduling conflicts arise.

The next meeting of the Library Trustees will be held on Monday July 20th, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. in the Library's Meeting Room after the noticed Public Hearing at 4:30 p.m..  The next regular monthly meeting will be held Wednesday August 12, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. in the Library's Meeting Room. Members of the public are welcome to attend and listen to any meeting.  A special meeting of the Trustees as part of the Lower Level Renovation Committee will take place on Wednesday August 5, 2015 at 7 p.m. in the Library's Upstairs Meeting Room.
