Out-of-Town Library Card Annual Fees to Increase on July 1, 2009
As of July 1, 2009, the fees charged to non-residents who wish to purchase a Baker Free Library card will increase. For individuals who are under the age of 65, the annual fee will be $75. For individuals who are 65 years of age and older, the annual fee will be $30.
These fees are set by the library's Board of Trustees and will be reviewed on an annual basis at the end of the library's fiscal year. It is the intent of the Trustees to adjust fees over a period of time so that eventually the fees reflect the library's tax impact on the average Bow resident. As of July 1, 2009, the library's average tax impact is $117. Please contact Lori Fisher, Library Director, at 224-7113 or bfldirector@comcast.net with any questions or comments about the new out-of-town library card fee structure.

DVD Drop Box Has Arrived!
Due to popular demand, a new DVD/CD drop box is now in place on the portico of the library next to the book drop. Both DVDs and CD music can be placed in this drop 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Patrons can continue to place books and CD audio books in the regular book drop when the library is closed. We hope that this change will make it easier for patrons to return their DVDs before incurring a fine. Thanks to all patrons who expressed their opinion - we heard you!
